Lots of Heat……….

Wooo….eeeeee, is it hot here in south Texas……95 to 100 degrees everyday! And NO rain, once in a while a dark cloud passes by but it is so hot that the rain evaporates before it hits the ground!!

And as I mentioned in my last blog we will be staying here this summer and try to stay cool. But we can’t just sit around so we decided we would get a couple of tasks done that we had planned to do this fall.

One of the tasks was to finish the floor in my room, so last Friday morning we moved everything out of my room and stacked it on the porch! Then prepped the floor and applied the “adhesive enhancer”, and called it a day.

 

Next morning we turned the A/C on in my room  and started laying the tile.

The job went so well that even though I took time out to meet with the Busy Needles for an hour we still finished the tile by 1:00!!!! Bill did all the “on the floor” work and I did all the tile cutting and “go-fer” jobs.

We had all the furniture, etc. moved back in by supper-time and then it was ‘lay down and die’ time!!! Sunday morning was greeted with a lot of moans and groans from our aching bones and muscles!!!!

But Mr. Bill was really on a roll, so we went to the used furniture store in San Antonio and found the perfect file cabinet for my worktable base. We already had the boards for the top, so after much measuring and figuring, we transformed the boards and file cabinet into just the right work table to go with the existing desk (also made with file cabinet base).

Now all I have to do is sort out all the “stuff” and organize, organize, organize!!!!

Remember I started this blog with how hot it is? Well, on Friday the main A/C unit on the motorhome ‘died’! So after a consult with our favorite RV repair guy and gal, Murphy and Lisa, we decided that since both A/C’s are the same age it is just a matter of time before the 2nd one dies. So we got 2 new A/C units installed today and the coach is cool again………we are broke but cool!!!!

We may not be traveling but our summer has not been dull or boring!!!!!
