Yep, it’s that time again! Spring is here and summer is creeping up on us and so it the terribly hot weather here in South Texas! So it’s time to close up our “little house”, pack up the summer necessities into the motor home and head north!
We will be leaving here on the 23rd of April, that’s right after my knee appointment on the 19th at which time the knee will be x-rayed and I will get the surgeons release……yay! Then it will be batten down everything, pull in the slides, start the engine and hit the road!!!
We are heading up Hwy 83 for a short way, then slowly angling northwesterly till we finally land in Ravensdale, WA. Then we will settle in for the summer, returning to Texas again in late September.
It has been a busy winter here in Texas as we have been very active in the park with lots of socials and other events. We did not get the work done on the inside of our “little house” that we had planned as my knee replacement was urgently needed, and of course Bill had to play nurse, but I guess it will all wait till next winter.
Speaking of the knee replacement…….all is good, have had a lot of physical therapy that really helped with the healing. I have full range of motion back and am walking up to a mile every other day, so I guess we can call it healed…yay!!!
Hopefully will have some pictures to post from the trip north, so stay tuned……

Safe travels Kay & Bill! Watch out for storms, but most of all, enjoy the journey!
It's taken us a month from Hondo to Heiskell TN...but we're on track to be in PA May 1 - 5 sometime...love this traveling stuff!
