North Pole, AK

We are staying at the Eielson AFB FamCamp which is about 27 miles south of Fairbanks, AK. But between Eielson AFB  and Fairbanks is the little town of North Pole……..

………..the home of Santa Claus and all the elves!!!

A larger than life Santa greets you as you drive into town.

The Santa theme is carried throughout town, every pole is painted like a candy cane.

And all the street names are Christmas themed.

About the only place in town that did not have a Santa name was the coffee shop, where Bill had a good latte.

Of course, the biggest store in town, other that Safeway, is Santa Land, which is just filled with every Christmas ornament and decoration you can imagine and some you would never have imagined!
