After a fantastic visit with Ryan, Tate, Katie and Corey in Loveland, CO we started northward once again.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
We headed into Wyoming,
through Cheyenne………..
the home of our favorite place to shop for anything you need or want.
(Actually we had taken a day and drove up to the store while we were staying in Loveland.)
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Then on to Sheridan, WY where we stayed for 2 nights as there were a couple of places we had always wanted to visit in Sheridan.
One is King’s Saddlery and Ropes…….fantastic!!
In addition to hundreds and hundreds of saddles for sale, there is a fantastic museum filled with treasures from the old west.
Here is Bill trying to decide which saddle he likes best!
I love tooled leather! There is a leather master working on site and loves to talk about his craft.
Do you need a lariat?
These are just a couple of the “walls” of pre-stretched lariats available for sale.
If you can’t find what you like already made up, they will make it in you favorite color
We spent all morning and part of the afternoon at King’s and it was well worth it.
We took a break and Bill found a latte at a local coffee shop.
We were told about another place we should visit in Sheridan before we leave and that is Tom Balding, Bits and Spurs. Just as the name implies, he makes bits and spurs……….so after you pick out your new saddle and lariat from King’s, then head over here for a bit for your bridle and spurs for your boots!!!
Tom gave us a tour of his facility and explained the processes involved in silversmithing.
We crammed a lot into our brief stay in Sheridan but we had a good time and recommend it as a place to visit. And did I mention that it rained the entire time we were there………but that’s what rain gear is made for!!!
Just us kids……on the move again.
