Life in Hondo, TX continued…….

Yesterday was the annual Craft Sale and Flea Market here at Lone Star Corral.

Bill and I both worked in the kitchen making breakfast burritos and cinnamon rolls (with of course, the usual coffee, tea, juice, etc…) for not only the members here but for the general public that is invited to the sale. Then at 10:30 AM we switched to lunch items: chicken salad sandwiches, hot dogs, polish sausage with grilled onions and peppers, and bbq beef sandwiches!! We were so busy that I didn't have time to take any pictures, which is too bad as we really had a fun, if not hectic time!!!!

Not only did we work in the kitchen, but I had a bunch of my beaded jewelry on a table with my friend, Bonnie. So I was running back and forth between my two “jobs” and by the end of the day I was exhausted. We did a great job in the kitchen and made lots of money for the park, but jewelry sales weren’t too good, but that’s life!!!

Next weekend Bonnie and I, along with another friend, Ava, will be setting up a booth in Hondo to sell our jewelry and Ava’s needlecrafts at the “Christmas in God’s Country Festival”. (The city motto is: Hondo, TX – God’s Country) I promise I will have pictures of that event!!!

Aww, common, you KNOW where God's country is.... Sorry you're missing all the fabulous colors here in God's country, it's been so beautiful. I'm learning to knit with beads. Takes a long time to string them all, but the knitting goes fast. I'll send a picture when I'm done.
