Today is 13 days following knee surgery and recovery is happening….not as fast as this very impatient lady would like, but it is happening.
I have been going to physical therapy 3 time a weeks and it is helping to make the muscles stronger and to gain more movement in the knee itself. Right now it bends at 90 degrees but the ultimate goal is 135 degrees………so as you can see, I have a way to go. Thursday the staples come out and I have no doubt that will help with mobility!!!!
Angie and the kids, Jessy and Joey, were here to visit this weekend. It was really fun having them here, even though I had to stay down a lot with my constant companion, the ice bag.
Angie, Jessy and I attended a Luau themed shower for Kimmy on Saturday and the boys, Grandpa and Joey, found a car show and drooled over the “old” cars. So we all had fun.
Kimmy and her mother, Donna. (Bill and I call her PQ)
Daughter, Angie, and Granddaughter, Jessy (15)
Corina with Kimmy
“Just” Jayne and Corina
Hostess, Cindy (on floor) and other guests
Opening gifts…….Cathleen, co hostess, taking down names.
It was good to get out and see my old friends again. When we lived in Lewiston, Jayne, Corina, Kimmy and I were affectionately called the “Fearsome Foursome”. We spent many hours solving all the problems of the world over a glass (or two) of good wine.
This coming weekend is the 4th of July holiday……………….please take care and stop to remember that this is the birthday of our country.
