Last Saturday we made a quick trip to the Seattle area to visit our kids, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We had a wonderful time, had a lot of laughs and a lot of good food.
This is Allese, the youngest great-grandchild…………reading is her passion, already!!!
These are grandchildren, Jessy and Joey. They are growing –up too fast for me!!!! But of course, not fast enough to suit them!!!!
These are only 3 of our many, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all are our pride and joy. As we are on the road full-time we are not able to spend as much time with them as we would like, so we really cherish every moment we do have with them.
We spent 2 nights in Ravensdale, WA with daughter, Cindy, and her husband, Brad. Bill was in heaven as we attended an open house for the new Downtown Harley Davidson dealer in Renton, WA on Saturday afternoon. He sat on the new bikes and we reminisced about all our travels on our Harley.
Sunday was spent with daughter, Angie, and her husband, Eddy, and Jessy and Joey. Cindy fixed dinner for us all and we had a great time visiting all day!
Monday we headed to Lacey, WA and Shipwreck Beads, one of my favorite places. We were only there for an hour but I managed to put a pretty good dent in the checkbook during that time. So many beads, so little time!!!!
We then visited with Bill’s brother, Dave, at Auburn Mechanical, as well as some of the folks Bill worked with before retirement.
From there we headed to Clearview, WA to daughter, Marcy’s and her husband, Rick’s home for the next two nights. Both nights we were entertained by Allese and had a long visit with her mommy and daddy, Matt and Erika, and her grandparents, Marcy and Rick.
On Monday, Bill, Rick and I went to Snohomish and wandered through the antique stores, and did a lot of “we had one of those when we were kids” and “if only I had known that old thing was going to be worth something, I would have kept it”!
All too soon it was time to leave and head back to Clarkston, so we said our sad farewells, promising to get together this summer. Then we headed eastward over Stevens Pass (Hwy 2).
We stopped in Leavenworth, WA for breakfast,
and finally back to Clarkston.

We moved into Swallows Park today……..our home for the next 5 months.
Tomorrow we will meet with the folks at the Corps office and find out what our duties will be here at Swallows Park. Will let you know when we know and get pix of the area.
