Indio, CA to Quartzsite, AZ

The FMCA rally in Indio, CA ended on Saturday night with a great performance by "The Platters" (you remember, from the 50's and 60's!). We had a good time, met lots of folks, and looked at a lot of products offered by vendors.

A limited view from the roof of our coach of the 1526 motor homes attending the rally.

Every morning we were treated to coffee and donuts for breakfast, and were entertained by the official FMCA music makers, The Frustrated Maestros. They are a gathering of folks from all over the country who just love to sing and/or play in an orchestra, but most of all just have a good time!!!!

The theme for the rally was "Ancient Wonders of Egypt" and the California Chapters entertained us all with a parade following the theme. The imagination and the craftsmenship that went into the costumes and floats was fantastic. Here are only a few of the sights from the parade.

This stoic warrior had to follow this "horse"!!

Love the camel...........!

On Sunday we were ready to move out along with the 1526 other motor homes, but had to do a little repair first as the step decided that it did not want to retract!!! But with some gentle and then some "not so gentle" persuasion from both Bill and our friend, Steve, it gave in and worked the way it is supposed to work!!!!

Then we were on our way to Quartzsite, AZ......
