It has been a long time since I let you know what is happening in our lives……but, sorry……not much!!!!!
We are still in the Seattle area, but the weather is definitely better now. The sun is shining and all is well with the world!!!!Actually it has been so long that I can’t remember my last post so I will just have to rely on my ‘age-impaired’ memory to get you all the news.
We have stayed pretty close to “home” this summer, just veg'ing and building our mental strength for when we get back home to Texas and our very busy schedule begins. The RV park where our Texas home is located is a very busy “over 55” (some of us are wayyyy over 55!) park and sometimes it takes all summer to recuperate. But we are anxious to get back there and start all over again.
We have had a few visitors from “home” this summer, Alice and Rusty parked there small rig in our yard overnight and we caught up on all the news. Visiting at the same time were Margie and Edmund, so the 6 of us had a great visit and shared a lot of laughs over dinner at the Cedar Grill in Maple Valley!!! Before that Mike and Elaine spent a couple of weeks in the area and we did several dinners together as well as an all day trip around Hood Canal. Great times with old friends, thank y’all for stopping by and we’ll see you this fall!
Also lots of dinners and lunches with old friends here in Seattle. I will miss my lunches with Patsy and will miss having Angie dropping in after work at Airstream. Love you guys!!!!
Then it was time for the kids to get ready for their big motorcycle trip to Sturgis. Bill rode with them to Missoula and overnighted in the KOA there, but then he came home and the kids continued on to Sturgis, SD. As the weather was very, very hot there, Bill is happy that he did not go this year, but the kids had a great time and came back very tanned and tired!!!!
L-R: Matt (grandson), Jason, Tina, Brad (son-in-law), Cindy (daughter), and Mr. Bill. As you can see, this was a 3-generation ride!!!! Fantastic!!!
While they were gone I was the dog-sitter for the 2 Yorkies, Snickers and Molly, 1 gigantic chocolate Lab puppy, Cocoa, and 1 very old, mellow black Lab, Maggie. It was a very frantic week, but we all had a good time playing ball in the kids big yard and of course, cuddling in the evening!!! Awhhhh!!!
Now we are in the packing-it-up mode as we are readying the coach and car to head south. We will be making a stop in Lewiston, ID to gather up the remaining belongings we have stored there, then it is home to Texas. When we arrive there we have a contractor ready to finish the inside of the shed we had built last fall. Then our home will be complete and we can sit back and enjoy it instead of constantly working on it! Will post pix of the completed shed and my craft room with the sewing center…..yay!!!
Next posting will probably be from Texas to tell you all about the trip, complete with any and all problems and adventures.
Stay tuned……….
