I have not done a lot of exciting things, however Bill has been a very busy boy!!! He has been helping the kids with the yard work which includes mowing their huge yard and weed-eating all the edges.
Then last weekend Bill, Brad (son-in-law) and Mark (grandson) did the Oregon 500, which is a motorcycle ride that leaves out of Portland area (180 miles from here) and goes follows a prescribed route for 500 miles and then they road home (another 180 miles). They left late Friday afternoon and they were back on Saturday night at about 11:30!! Not too bad for an old man….!!!!
On Saturday while the boys were gone Cindy (Bill’s daughter) treated me to dinner after which we went shopping at Kohl’s. Yes, I got 2 new pairs of sandals, one pair with a lot of “bling”!
On Sunday Bill treated me to breakfast at Black Diamond Bakery for Mother’s Day. We were supposed to have dinner at Angie’s (my daughter), however Joey (grandson) was sick with a fever so we postponed until next Sunday. So we went to the new Eagle Leather store in Auburn where Bill got a new pair of chaps, now he will not have to struggle into Matt’s (another grandson) any longer. He is now all set for the his big adventure to Sturgis in August.
Angie came over on Monday with a card and gift for Mom’s Day for me. The gift was a bouquet of blown glass flowers, fantastic!!!!
Our friends, Mike and Elaine Loescher from our RV park in Hondo, TX, arrived at Lake Sawyer Resort on Sunday the 13th. After our trip to Eagle Leather we stopped by to see them and had a good long visit with them ending with dinner at the Mongolian grill in Covington. On Monday Bill took Mike to the Apple store in Southcenter, then Mike and Elaine came over here to visit for a while.
Today was grocery shopping at Costco and Fred Meyer after which I made big salads for dinner. Now it is time to relax!!
