We got up on Friday morning and both were in the mood to go somewhere……anywhere!!! So after the usual, “well, where do you want to go?”, “I don’t know, where do you what to go?”, it was decided that we would head south out of Seattle to Lacey, WA and 2 of our favorite places to shop!!!
It was a beautiful sunshiny day and Mount Rainier was standing proud, always a gorgeous sight that I never tire of seeing.
In Lacey, Bill dropped me off at my favorite place, Shipwreck Beads!! Yay, I can spend hours there just looking at the beads and getting all kinds of new ideas.
It is really a beader’s paradise, even the sidewalk going into the place is imbedded with beads.
Then you walk through the door……..
OMG, it’s heaven!!
While I was drooling and shopping at Shipwreck Beads. Bill was over at his favorite store, drooling and shopping.
When after a couple of hours, I finally called Bill and said I was ready to be picked up, I was informed that when he picks me up we have to go back to Cabella’s as he has something I need to see!! What?????
So back to Cabella’s we went and as soon as we drove into the parking lot I knew why we were there!!!
All set up outside Cabella’s store was an encampment of Sisters on the Fly, Washington Chapter!!
Sisters on the Fly is a national organization of ladies (cowgirls) with a mutual love for fly fishing, traveling, and funky vintage trailers. Each trailer is a work in progress as they are always on the lookout for just the right thing to decorate their trailers. They come from all walks of life, most are wives, mothers, grandmothers and even, great-grandmothers, and travel together to share experiences along the road. They are a “hoot” to sit down and talk to even for an hour as they are very happy to share their experiences, and there are a lot of experiences. While we were talking with them, they offered us home-made soup by one of the “sisters” and cookies. If you ever run into a group of them out there on the road be sure to stop and say “Howdy” ……….but sorry, guys, no men are allowed!!!!
Here are some of the pictures I took…………..
Now all of these trailers are small, but this last one that Bill is looking into is only 7 feet long total, just enough for one gal!!!! She is new and is still working on her decorating theme!!
