Busy, busy, busy………

We have been here in the Seattle area for almost a month now, and I don’t know what we have been doing but we sure have been busy doing it!!!

We have a new great grandson whom we met when we arrived here, Skyler is now 6 months old and though I have seen lots of pictures of him, they do not compare to holding and cuddling him. He is so perfect.

Actually we have been doing some of the tasks that we put off while we were on the road, in my case, cleaning and sorting cabinets and closets, oiling and polishing all the woodwork in the coach, and shampooing the carpets. My tasks are all inside the coach whereas Bill’s are outside and under the coach in the storage areas but the weather here in the Pacific Northwest has not been very cooperative so working outside in the rain is not his or my idea of fun.

I have been doing a lot of sewing and getting ready for a Christmas bazaar which will be in early December in Castroville, TX. I love taking a piece of fabric and creating something useable or wearable. Quilting is my passion as well as making bags and purses. But for the bazaar I am making kitchen items such as hot pads and casserole carriers, also have a few other ideas that I have yet to perfect. I’ll take pictures and post them when I get more things completed.

While I have been cutting and sewing Bill and son-in-law, Brad, have been very busy planning their motorcycle trip to Sturgis, SD the first week in August. Yep, they’re going to the big rally along with about 30,000 other bikers!!! They will be camping in the same campground that our friends, Jane and Jerry, are working this summer. Brad had never been there so it will be a real experience for him, but Bill has been there several times in the past and I accompanied him once, that was enough for me!!!! We rode motorcycles for years before we headed out on the road full-time in our motor home, and the kids keep a Harley in the garage just for Bill to ride while we are here in the summer.
