Re-installing the Main Awning

Hurray, the awning is repaired and back up in place!!! As you will remember from an earlier post, the wind did a number on the main awning, yes, the big one! The cotton stitching finally gave way and the entire awning fell to the ground!!

We found a sail-maker in St. Mary’s, Georgia to re-sew it with weather-resistant thread and then had to find help to put it all back together again. It is definitely a 2-person, if not more, to manhandle it back into place.

We decided as long as we had a great service guy to help and a canvas repair man near-by that we would get the other 2 on that side done too. A couple of years ago we had the awnings on the other side of the coach done when we were working in Oregon. Now they're all as good as new!!

If you are ever in need of service in eastern Georgia, we highly recommend Barry from Brunswick, GA. He’s fast and knows what he is doing!
