In a few minutes I have to leave for work at the Visitor’s Center, but thought I would dash off a few updates! Today will be very busy for us as we have a couple of groups coming in, Bill and I will do the programs for them at the Homestead. Also it will be in the 90’s again with very, very high humidity!!!
As you can see the computer change-over went much smoother that I had anticipated…..maybe there is a little ‘geek’ in me…….but very little!!!! I am still learning the ins and outs of Windows 7, but I’m getting there!!!
Our friends, Bob and Jackie, came to visit us here at Oke NWR on Monday and on Tuesday we met them for lunch in Callahan, FL at the Cedar River Seafood Restaurant. It was good to see them again, we met them when we first started out on the road, have stayed in touch since and once in a while our paths cross. So we caught up on all the news and now they are heading north to Michigan for the summer.
Just one more month and we will be heading north ourselves, it has been fun here but the feet are starting to ‘itch’ again!!!

I'd love to have a little sun... but the heat and humidity I could live without. This is going to be the coldest April on record here(since 1898 or something like that). I wouldn't mind a little spring-like sunshine. So far its just the wet kind.
