We left Seattle on Friday morning and after a short stop in Kent we headed for I5 and the open road! It has been cloudy and raining for days now and there are definite signs of Fall in the air.
We passed through Olympia, Washington State capitol, and got just a glimpse of the capitol building from I5,
Just before Portland, OR we started to catch sightings of Mount Hood.
What a majestic sight!!
View of Mount Hood from the bridge over the Columbia River.
We arrived at Timber Valley (an Escapees RV Park) in Sutherlin, OR at about 5:30 PM and settled in for the night. Decided we would stay here over the weekend and leave very early Monday AM to be in Grants Pass, OR by 9:00 AM for our appointment at Henderson Suspension.
View of Sutherlin from our RV site.
It turns out we are sharing our sight with another renter.
So our first day on the road was a good one and it feels good to be back on the road. As you can see from the pictures, there has been a profound improvement in the weather, sunshine and warmth………..yay!
Stay tuned…………..Just Us Kids
