We are now in Anchorage, AK at the Blue Spruce Campground at Fort Richardson and plan to stay here a week or more. We have been moving and sight-seeing so much since the middle of April that we decided it was time to stop for a while. First order of business is to vacuum the dust and gravel out of the motor home and to wash the car as we have forgotten what color it is!!
Bill has found a place for lattes very close to the campground, so he is happy!!!!
Today (Sunday) we are meeting up with our friend, Donna, who lives in Wasilla (just north of Anchorage). She moved up here from Lewiston, ID about 7 or 8 years ago and loves it!! It will be fun to see her and spend some time catching up on all the happenings in our lives.
It is said that a lot of moose and bears inhabit the woods in and around the campground, so hopefully I will get some more pictures, close-up!!!! As were approaching the gate into the base a moose was grazing on the grasses along side the road, so we know they are here!!!
Just us kids……………taking a breather!!!
