News from ANWR

We are at the end of our first month here at Aransas NWR……time has just flown by.

We spent Christmas with the other volunteers here with a big dinner on Christmas Eve and all got together again on Christmas Day for leftovers. The day was spent talking to our family on the phone and catching up on all the news.

The weather is still colder than normal, but at least the rain has stopped. Nights are in the lower 30’s but days warm up to the upper 60’s…………but it’s better than snow!!!!

I’m still looking for that one great picture of them, but they like to stay way out in the marshland.
