Yuma, AZ

We left Quartzsite and the boon docking experience on January 21st and headed for Yuma, AZ. We pulled into the RV parking at Paradise Casino, unhooked the car and headed for the Foothills area of Yuma to find a spot to "settle down" for a month or maybe more. We found a number of signs with phone numbers, but alas, no answers at any of them. So we had dinner and went back to the coach at the casino for the night. We then tried the numbers again and got return calls on 2 of them and as a result we are now parked in a great spot on a private lot in the Foothills.

This morning (Friday) we moved the coach to the new site and then took off to do some badly needed grocery shopping at the Marine Corp Air Base Yuma. Tomorrow will be laundry day........yeah!!!!! We have a combination washer dryer in the coach, but the stack of laundry we have after being out the the desert for 3 weeks would take forever to do, so it's off to find the laundromat in the AM.

The first thing we both did after getting the coach set up and everything back in place after traveling, was to take long hot showers to get rid of the desert sand and dust!!! Really makes you feel human again!!!!

We will be here for a least a month, but probably longer as we don't have to start northward to Clarkston, WA and our volunteer position until April 1st.
