In my last posting I had just returned home from the hospital after a total left knee replacement. I am very happy to report that 17 days after surgery all is going great and my recovery is way ahead of schedule.
Thanks to the assistance of the physical therapist with SW Texas Home Health Care, I have regained about 3/4 of the total mobility of the knee already. I am walking without a cane and taking walking trips around the block!
Now Home Health Care is done and next week I start with Manny at Castroville PT and Sports Medicine. I worked with Manny before surgery to build the leg muscles and that is why I have progressed so fast after surgery. So I am excited to work with him again to regain full mobility and best of all, NO PAIN!!!! Yay!
Even with surgery life goes on here at LSC, meetings and social events continue at a frenetic pace!!! We had a Baked Potato Supper followed by a Brown Bag Auction which brought in a generous $$ amount for the park, as well as a fun, fast paced evening.
The highlight of Valentine’s Day was a wine and cheese party, and what more needs to be said, you can’t have more fun than drinking wine and eating!!!!
We had four large tables featuring different wines and foods to go with each and as you can see, a “canopy vineyard”. Then for a decadent dessert, a chocolate fountain!!!!!
