As you know we have been traveling full-time for almost 8 years now, and traveling as we do provides many hours of viewing and contemplating life through the windshield of the motor home.
Such as……do you really ever read all those signs along the side of the road, other than the speed limit signs that you are supposed to read……..and obey!! Like the Watch for Deer signs which resemble Lipizzaner horses doing ‘airs above ground’? Or the sign that simply says “Dip” and mentally you can name at least 3 ‘dips’ you have met recently! You know things like that.
One thing that has started me thinking lately though is where do plastic bags come from? You know the kind that your groceries come in from the store.
A couple of weeks ago when heading down the highway in Texas I realized that plastic bags grow on trees!!!
Yep, that’s right….on trees!!
Some grow on bushes too……...and when ripe they try to fly away
or under cars, or just can’t get airborne so they just lay there on the ground.
OK……so this highway was more boring than some we have traveled, but it left lots of time for thought!!!
Just Us Kids………………..Don’t Mess With Texas!

It is a popular tourist destination. The jewel of the city is the River Walk, which meanders through the downtown area. Lined with numerous shops, bars, and restaurants, as well as the Arneson River Theater, this attraction is transformed into an impressive festival of lights during the Christmas and New Year holiday period
