Fun on the Snake River

The stretch of the Snake River from Lewiston-Clarkston to the Hell’s Canyon Dam is absolutely beautiful. It is a popular destination for local boaters as well as the daily jet boat tours that go all the way to the dam.

Our friends, Jayne and Mark Richardson, and their son, Sam, sent me these pictures of a day on the Snake River in Hell’s Canyon. They have a boat and know all the fun places on the river. This last weekend they camped on the beach upriver and as the weather was so warm they didn’t even pitch the tent. They just slept on the beach under the stars!!!

That looks so fun! Did they have to worry about snakes? I would love to do something like that. Great pictures.
