A Great Weekend

USA

The Memorial weekend is drawing to a close and the weather could not have been more perfect!!! It has been in the 80’s all weekend, encouraging everyone to get outside and enjoy BBQ’s, the beach, or just going for a walk in the park. As we are working in a park this summer we saw many, many folks out taking advantage of the good weather, there were walkers, joggers, bicycles, tricycles and of course, boaters.

We worked on Friday but had Saturday off, then worked on Sunday, but were off again on Monday, so we were able enjoy the weekend also.

Cindy and Brad, daughter and son-in-law, came over to spend the holiday weekend with us and brought their Harley and an “extra Harley” on a trailer behind their truck/camper. So Saturday, Dad and the Kids went for an all day ride around Central Idaho. You can tell by the big smiles that they brought just the right surprise for Dad.

Sunday we were on duty again so Bill mapped out a great ride for Cindy and Brad through Asotin, WA, then up over Rattlesnake Canyon, across the Grande Ronde River to Enterprise and Joseph, OR and back again.

This morning we all went to breakfast before they packed up to head back to Seattle again. This afternoon we just “vegged” out in our lawn chairs and soaked in the great weather.

Tomorrow morning I have a conference with the orthopedist to get the “lowdown” on how this knee replacement is going to happen and what to expect in recovery. The steroid shot I got has helped some, but I am really looking forward to getting this done, getting rid of the pain and getting back to an active life again!!!!

Will post what the schedule is when I know it.

Many thanks to all of you who have offered good wishes and prayers.
