Yes, it is time to get ready to hit the road again. We will be leaving Benson, AZ on Wednesday, April 1st after a very busy month stay.
I have been busy beading, teaching and learning, at least 3 days a weeks, exchanging patterns, ideas and of course, gossip!!!!
Bill has been busy getting all the annual maintenance done on the coach. He bought and installed new chassis batteries as they would no longer hold a full charge………..so it was time to get new ones. He spent two days helping our friend, John, install shelves in his cargo trailer.
We had several gatherings of friends for “happy hours” which are always fun. We made a number of sight-seeing trips around the area to include Sabino Canyon, Texas Canyon, Mt. Lemmon (Sky Island Scenic Drive) and we toured the museum at Fort Huachuca (pr: wa-chu-ca). Got to see our friends from Seattle when they were visiting in the area. So again we have had a good visit here in Benson.
We have a few places to visit along the way (well, sort’a) to Clarkston, WA. We are going up through eastern AZ to stop at Canyon de Chelly and Monument Valley as well as other points along the way. We will make an overnight stop in Nampa, ID to visit our friends, Andy, Adrienne and boys………….then to Clarkston.
We will be staying at Granite Lake RV in Clarkston, WA on the 22nd of April so we can take in the “Art Under The Elms Festival” at Lewis Clark State College. Then we will move to Swallows Marina on the 1st of May where we will be volunteering for 5 months.
I will try to keep in touch along the road, but if I can’t I will catch you up on all the sights along the way north when we get to Clarkston.
