Pix of Tiffin Factory in Red Bay, AL

The Tiffin Motorhome Factory manufacturers the Allegro line of coaches, i.e.; Allegro Bus, Phaeton, etc. It is a huge factory however due to the fuel situation in the US, they are down from 12 units a week to only 4. Let's hope this all changes soon. The tour was about 2 hours long and we were allowed to go anywhere and see everything, except the welding and paint shops, for obvious safety reasons.

The process begins with a bare frame (note steering wheel and seat) and everything is added from there, right down to the finished coach!

Front and rear end caps

"Gee, I wonder where this wire goes?"

Pre-made tile floors ready to go down before walls go up.

Dash for a motorhome, assemble on the workbench.

Adding all the good stuff!

Wait..........don't forget the toilet!!!!!

Walls finally going up!

Hmmm....how many guys does it take to change a slide roller?

Finally, a beautiful coach, ready for the road!

There is even an space for a flat screen TV to watch the ballgames on the patio!!!

We really enjoyed our tour as it is always fun to see how our "rolling homes" are put together. The tour is open to anyone, so if you are ever in the area, be sure to add it to your list of "must-sees".
